Founded in 2005, Le Shepherd Education Centre was created to provide the best quality education, which is very engaging.
Following our success of starting up our initial courses, we decided to build the first fully functional fun filled science laboratory in 2007. Ever since, new interesting and fun courses are being set up with students getting excellent grades!
In the near future, Le Shepherd Education Centre will be introducing line up of educational courses and products that will ensure learning to be fun and scoring of grades to be effortless.

Fiona Hong (Partner and Bio, Chem Specialist)
Fiona is a tutor who believes that every student matters, and every student is different. Although lessons are conducted in groups, Fiona works on giving each and everyone a degree of individual attention. Furthermore, students are free to question via sms or facebook anytime a query on studies arises. Many have done so and benefited from this extra touch.
Fiona holds a Bachelors Degree in Science (Pure Biology) from National University of Singapore (NUS). She has been tutoring for 8 years, and has previously taught a wide variety of students such as Japanese housewives (due to her ability to speak Japanese), Korean and PRC students, students from Boy’s Town (during her stint at Assumption English School as a full time teacher) and many local students from both neighbourhood and independent schools alike. For O’levels Chemistry, 85% of her ex-students have scored distinctions.
Fiona’s love for using hands on experiments to explain concepts (made possible by the Le Shepherd Laboratory) truly perks up the interest of her Chemistry and Biology students during class. As an avid nature lover, Fiona has also worked as a Zoo-keeper in the Singapore Zoo before joining the tuition sector. She actively brings her past experiences with the close contact of the animals in her care, into the learning of Biology, greatly enhancing the fun and the application of concepts to real-life. Fiona has also written a research paper on the population and distribution of horseshoe crabs Carsinoscorpius rotundicauda in the Kranji mangroves during her undergraduate days.
Moreover, after being a mother of one, Fiona understands clearly what a parent is looking for and will always do her best in ensuring the Centre provides the best for the students.

Kia Khian (Partner and Math, Science Specialist)
After entering the management team of Le Shepherd Education Centre in 2011, Kia Khian has rigorously introduced new initiatives to the Centre. Particularly, Kia Khian has strived to improve on the Centre’s core strengths in providing an all-rounded education and value-creation initiatives, for the students. Kia Khian has been managing the Science and Mathematics sections for Primary and Lower Secondary students.
Kia Khian currently holds an Honours in Accountancy from Nayang Technological University, and also led the NTU Current Affairs as a President. He encompasses current affairs knowledge in his lessons to garner interests in students and the experience definitely brings out to the students new perspectives.

Gordon Ng (Co-Founder and Partner)
Gordon has always aimed to provide the best education services in an innovative and fun learning way. Since the humble start of Le Shepherd Education Centre, Gordon has been managing the Mathematics section for all levels and the Science section for the Lower Secondary students. Besides having to create lots of interesting projects and marketing ideas for the Centre, Gordon is also a serial entrepreneur, trying out different ideas and giving advices to students to sculpt their career path.
Gordon has been in the tuition sector for more than 8 years and currently holds a Bachelor Degree in Economics and Minor in Technopreneurship from National University of Singapore (NUS). He has also received the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) Gold from President of Singapore, S R Nathan in 2002.

Kenneth Teo (Co-Founder and Partner)
Upon setting up Le Shepherd Education Centre with Gordon, Kenneth have set a strong foundation and direction for the business wih his partner. Being the co-founder of the Centre, Kenneth always strives to create the best education system and environment for the students. In 2007, he spearheaded the Le Shepherd Laboratory with the help of the team and coupled up with the Peel-a-Boo concept by Gordon to create a huge buzz in the education sector and is still currently being sought after by numerous students and parents.
Since then, Le Shepherd Education Centre has had a tremendous growth with an ever growing amount of students having great fun studying, while being able to understand more with hands-on.
Kenneth currently holds an Honours in Chemical Engineering and Minor in Technopreneurship from NUS. He also received the National Youth Achievement Award (NYAA) Gold from President of Singapore, S R Nathan in 2002 and is the President of NUSEA, part of the NUS Overseas College Programme. He has been teaching for more than 6 years and his experience in Chemical Engineering has definitely brought much fun to learning in the Centre.

Ms Swati (“Math Guru” - Mathematics Anchor Teacher)
Ms Swati is one of the most experienced teacher in our Centre with more than 9 years of teaching experience and have been with us for more than 3 years. Prior to Le Shepherd Education Centre, she was teaching Mathematics at Polytechnics and Degree Colleges in India. However, teaching Mathematics at grass root level is her passion.
Being a Masters in Statistics and Bachelor in Education, Ms Swati is able to provide great advice and knowledge for the Secondary and Junior College cohort. Currently, Ms Swati is working on the revamp of the Mathematics notes with Gordon to bring about a high standard of education and step by step learning method to further assist the students in learning. She has been very happy working with a team of hardworking educators bringing about fantastic results to students, year after year.
Aside from teaching, Ms Swati also do Yoga, paint and make pottery. Moreover, she also carries out stain and reverse glass painting and murals on pots. She is really very good in the area of art. Any students who would like yo learn some art work from her, feel free to talk to her about it.

Yan (“Literary Despot” - English Anchor Teacher)
The newest addition to the full-time team, Yan has delivered wonderful English and General Paper lessons for all our students in the Centre. With her strong English background, Bachelor in English and English Literature from University of London and her various experience in teaching and copyrighting, Yan is able to deliver English classes of quality and excitement.
After teaching for 5 years, Yan decides to work with us to develop a brand new system of learning English so as to benefit the next generation. She believes that with the cooperation and support of the whole team, a whole new English system can be created to ensure that learning English is no longer a boring chore.
Le Shepherd Education Centre has the first open-concept laboratory in Singapore and famous for our 3 tier learning system, bringing theory, practical learning and IT application together. With such Hands-On experience, students are definitely having fun and getting remarkable results.
